Spring forest season has been launched in Tatarstan

The spring forest season is open in the Republic of Tatarstan. Employees of the Aksubayevskiy, Arskiy, Zainskiy, Kaibitskiy, Kzyl-Yulduzskiy, Laishevskiy, Leninogorskiy, Menzelinskiy, Nurlatskiy, Sabinskiy, Tetyushskiy forestry enterprises and the Lubyanskiy Forestry Engineering College were among the first to plant forest crops.

“We plant pine seedlings in the territory of the Baltasinskiy precinct forestry of the Arskiy forest district. Currently, the work has been completed on the area of ​​5 hectares, 12 people have been involved”, said Ilyar Vasiliyev, Deputy Director of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Arskiy Forestry Enterprise”.

“Now we are planting on the territory of quarter 177 of the Pestrechinskiy precinct forestry of Laishevskiy forest district. According to the plan the site is 8 hectares. We plant seedlings of common spruce”, said Ruslan Gazizullin, Director of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Laishevskiy Forestry Enterprise”.

Let us recall that in 2020, according to the regional project “Forests Conservation in the Republic of Tatarstan” of the national project “Ecology”, forest restoration will be carried out on the area of ​​4.8 thousand hectares in Tatarstan. Planting of forest crops will be carried out on the area of ​​2.2 thousand hectares, measures for natural reforestation – on 2.5 thousand hectares, combined reforestation – on 9 hectares and afforestation – on 103 hectares.

In addition, in the framework of the forest growing season, protective forest plantations will be laid on the area of ​​1.9 thousand hectares, work on agrotechnical care of forest crops will be carried out on the area of ​​16 thousand hectares, supplementing - on 4.5 thousand hectares.

For reference. The regional project “Forests Conservation in the Republic of Tatarstan” as part of the federal project “Forests Conservation” of the national project “Ecology” was launched in 2019. Its main goal is to ensure the balance of forest disposal and reproduction in the ratio of 100% by 2024. To achieve this goal, 2 target indicators were established: “the ratio of reforestation and afforestation area to the area of ​​logged and damaged forest stands, %” and “damage from forest fires, million rubles”. According to the results of last year, the values ​​of indicators amounted to 67.5% and 0 rubles, respectively.
