RT Forest Protection Center prepares to carry out work within the framework of state monitoring of forest reproduction
The Federal Budgetary Institution “Roslesozashchita” branch – “Forest Protection Center of the Republic of Tatarstan, is preparing to carry out work as part of state monitoring of forest reproduction.
In particular, field surveys will be performed to assess the characteristics of forest stands. The work will take place during the growing season on the lands of the forest fund of Zainskiy, Prigorodnyi and Bugulminskiy forest districts on a total area of 120 hectares. The objects of research will be areas of forest reproduction, referred to the lands with forests, in 2017-2018.
Also, employees of the RT Forest Protection Center will carry out work to identify (inventory) lands that are not occupied by forest stands and require reforestation using remote sensing technologies on the lands of the forest fund of Leninogorskiy, Mamadyshskiy, Menzelinskiy, Privolzhskiy and Tetyushskiy forest districts.
In addition, it is planned to carry out work to assess the standard planting material in the amount of 44 lots and check the lots of forest plant seeds for sowing quality in the amount of 232 analyzes. For the 1st quarter of 2020, 51 lots of forest seeds have already been inspected, which is 23% of the plan.
