The event was attended by representatives of the organizing committee of the campaign, forest management bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, including from the Republic of Tatarstan - Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Rais Gumerov.
During the meeting, issues of holding the campaign in the current sanitary and epidemiological situation and introduced self-isolation regimes in the regions of the country, media support of events, etc. were discussed. The organizers also recalled the necessary measures to prevent and counteract the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19 - the availability of protective equipment, the need for planting trees at a distance in small groups of no more than two or three people.
Let us recall that the international campaign “Garden of Remembrance” was launched on March 18 and will last until June 22 of this year. Its organizers are the All-Russian Public Movement “Victory Volunteers” and the Victory Commemoration Fund with support of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation and the Federal Forestry Agency. The purpose of the campaign is to plant 27 million trees in memory of 27 million dead during the Great Patriotic War.
It is worth noting that in the Republic of Tatarstan, more than 483 thousand seedlings will be planted as part of the campaign in memory of the great feat of 350 thousand Tatarstan people who did not return home from the front to their relatives and friends.
