Spring forestry season continues in Tatarstan
Spring forestry season continues in the Republic of Tatarstan. According to specialists of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, as of April 28 of this year reforestation works were performed on the area of 1,024 hectares, including planting of forest crops - on 993 ha, afforestation - on 31 ha.
Let us recall that all this year in the republic, according to the regional project “Forests Conservation in the Republic of Tatarstan” of the national project “Ecology”, reforestation works will be carried out on the area of 4,784 hectares.
Along with this, other work is being carried out in Tatarstan as part of the forest growing season. So, the laying of ravine-gully forest stands was completed on the area of 766 hectares, the addition of forest crops - on 946 hectares, the sowing of seeds in forest nurseries - on 1.61 hectares.
For reference. The regional project “Forests Conservation in the Republic of Tatarstan” as part of the federal project “Forests Conservation” of the national project “Ecology” was launched in 2019. Its main goal is to ensure the balance of forest disposal and reproduction in the ratio of 100% by 2024. To achieve this goal, 2 target indicators were established: “the ratio of reforestation and afforestation area to the area of logged and lost forest stands, %” and “damage from forest fires, million rubles”.
