Employees of Zelenodolskiy Forest District and the RT Forest Protection Center joined the “Garden of Remembrance” International campaign
Employees of the State Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Zelenodolskiy Forest District”, State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Zelenodolskiy Experimental Forestry Enterprise” and the Federal Forestry Agency “Roslesozashchita” branch - “Forest Protection Center of the Republic of Tatarstan” have joined the International Campaign “Garden of Remembrance”. Planting of trees took place in quarter 63 of the Aishinskiy district forestry of Zelenodolskiy forest district. In total, 3.9 thousand seedlings of common pine were planted on this site.
Given the current sanitary and epidemiological situation, measures were taken to prevent and counteract the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection - the campaign participants were in protective gear, planted trees at a distance from each other in groups of two or three people.
Let us recall that the international campaign “Garden of Remembrance” started on March 18 and will last until June 22 of this year. Its organizers are the All-Russian Public Movement “Victory Volunteers” and the Victory Commemoration Fund with support of the RF Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology and the Federal Forestry Agency. The purpose of the campaign is to plant 27 million trees in memory of 27 million dead during the Great Patriotic War.
In the Republic of Tatarstan, as part of the campaign, more than 483 thousand seedlings will be planted in memory of the great feat of 350 thousand Tatarstan people who did not return home from the front to their relatives and friends. As of April 29 this year 409.3 thousand seedlings have already been planted in the republic.
