The Ministry discussed the tasks for the coming period at a video-conference meeting
Today, the Ministry held a video-conference meeting at which the tasks for the coming period were considered. The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov. The event was attended by head-foresters of forest districts and directors of forestry enterprises of the republic.
The main report at the meeting was made by the First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilgizar Zaripov. During his speech, he dwelled on the issues of reforestation, fire safety in forests and implementation of federal state forest supervision (forest protection) on the lands of the forest fund of the republic.
In particular, Ilgizar Zaripov recalled that this year the spring forest season started on April 9 (11 days earlier than in 2019). As of April 30 of this year reforestation and afforestation works were carried out on the area of 1,226 ha (53% of the plan). The planting of forest crops was completed by specialists from Alkeyevskiy, Bolgarskiy, Laishevskiy, Nurlatskiy, Prigorodnyi, Sabinskiy and Cheremshanskiy forestry enterprises. “It is necessary to strengthen work in this direction in Aznakayevskiy, Arskiy, Bilyarskiy, Zainskiy, Kaibitskiy, Mamadyshskiy and Menzelinskiy forestry enterprises, the First Deputy Minister emphasized. - I remind you that the bulk of the activities should be completed by May 15”.
“I also ask you to tighten control over ensuring fire safety in forests, especially in the upcoming holidays, said Ilgizar Zaripov. - This also applies to the implementation of a set of measures for the fire arrangement of forests, and campaigning to comply with fire safety rules in forests”.
The meeting was concluded by the Head of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov. He added that according to the preliminary forecast of fire danger in the forests for May-August, prepared by the Federal Aviation Protection Agency, there is an increased risk of forest fires in the Republic of Tatarstan in August of this year. “You must be alert throughout the fire hazard season in the forests. Our common task is to prevent the occurrence of forest fires”, said Ravil Kuzyurov, addressing the head-foresters.
The Minister also gave a number of instructions related to the work to prevent and detect violations of forest legislation and implementation of the Geographic Information System of the Forest Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan.
