“In total, 75 trees were planted in honor of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. In agreement with the architects and the improvement committee, the choice fell on linden and willow. Given the growing conditions, these trees will feel good here. In 6-7 years they will reach a height of 10 meters, and I hope they will become a decoration of Victory Park, commented Ravil Kuzyurov, Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan. - In general, 410 thousand seedlings have already been planted in the Republic of Tatarstan, as part of the International campaign “Garden of Remembrance”. Given the current sanitary and epidemiological situation, tree planting is carried out by employees of subordinate institutions of the Ministry in compliance with all necessary measures to prevent and counteract the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19”.

Let us recall that the International campaign “Garden of Remembrance” started on March 18 and will last until June 22 of this year. Its organizers are the All-Russian Public Movement “Victory Volunteers” and the Victory Commemoration Fund with support of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation and the Federal Forestry Agency. The purpose of the campaign is to plant 27 million trees in memory of 27 million dead during the Great Patriotic War.

In the Republic of Tatarstan, more than 483 thousand seedlings in memory of the great feat of 350 thousand Tatarstan people who did not return home from the front to their relatives and friends, will be planted as part of the campaign.

Note that everyone can become a participant of the International campaign “Garden of Remembrance”. Those who live in a private house or are currently in the country can plant a tree in their area by supporting the campaign on social networks with the hashtag #СадПамятиДома. It is also possible to put your tree on an interactive map on the official website of the campaign: https: https://садпамяти2020.рф.

In addition, everyone can become part of a good flash mob. At home, share stories about your heroes with your children in a common activity. Draw together a tree that you will definitely plant later, make a craft, applique, tell who you will dedicate a “living tree” in the future, or just share stories about them, and again don't forget to post a photo with the hashtag #СадПамятиДома in social networks.
