Sowing seeds in forest nurseries continues in Tatarstan
In Tatarstan, sowing of seeds continues in forest nurseries. According to specialists of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, as of May 6 this year such work was carried out on the area of 4 ha. The employees of Bilyarskiy and Cheremshanskiy forestry enterprises completed the planned amount of work. In total this year it is planned to sow seeds in nurseries on the area of 20.8 hectares.
In a number of forestry enterprises of the republic, planting material is grown in greenhouses. “We have 2 greenhouses, yesterday pine seeds were sown in one of them, said Murat Ibragimov, Director of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Isleitarskiy Forestry Enterprise”. - This method allows to reduce the time for growing seedlings by 2 times, it is also economically advantageous - we get more planting material from a smaller area with minimal labor costs”.
