From year to year, on the eve of Victory Day, employees of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan congratulate workers on the home front - forest industry veterans on the upcoming holiday. This year was no exception - today experts visited veterans and presented them with gifts.
In turn, the veterans thanked the leadership of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan for their constant attention and support.
The Great Patriotic War (June 22, 1941 - May 9, 1945) became the most bloody war in the history of the Russian state. It claimed millions of lives of Soviet citizens, both military and civilians, and left an indelible mark on the soul of every person.
May 9, 2020 marks the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. In order to preserve historical memory and to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Victory, by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 327dated July 08, 2019, the year 2020 was declared the Year of memory and glory. One of the key events of the Year of Remembrance and Glory was the International Campaign “Garden of Remembrance”, which started on March 18 this year. Its purpose is to plant 27 million trees in memory of 27 million who died during the Great Patriotic War.
