A set of measures on fire arrangement in forests is being taken in the republic
Employees of forestry enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan have completed work on laying and maintaining fire mineralized strips. In total, as part of a set of measures for forest firefighting, 2,607.2 km of new strips were created and existing barriers with a total length of 5,323.9 km were maintained.
Currently, forestry experts are carrying out work on construction and reconstruction of fire-prevention roads, improvement of recreation areas for citizens in the forests and the installation of information stands, nameplates and billboards on fire-related topics. According to the Ministry of Forestry of the RT, as of May 13 this year, construction of fire-fighting roads with a total length of 15 km was completed, their reconstruction was carried out on 75 km.
Let us recall that this year the fire-hazardous season in the forests in the Republic of Tatarstan started on April 6, and the special fire-prevention regime was launched on April 10.
