Pupils of school forest districts of Elabuzhskiy, Tukayevskiy and Mendeleyevskiy districts of the republic joined the “Garden of Remembrance” International campaign

Pupils of school forest districts “Svezhiy veter”, “Yunye druzya lesa”, “Berendeyevo tsarstvo”, “Brigantine”, “Yamle urman” and “ShkoLes” joined the International Campaign “Garden of Remembrance”. The guys planted trees in their plots and put them on an interactive map on the campaign’s official website: https://садпамяти2020.рф. In total, 137 schoolchildren from Elabuzhskiy, Tukayevskiy and Mendeleyevskiy municipal districts of the RT received individual certificates. These school forest districts are supervised by the State Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Elabuzhskiy Forest District”.

“I believe that the “Garden of Remembrance” is a very important campaign, said Alisa Tolmacheva, a 1st-grade pupil of Secondary School No. 3 in Naberezhnye Chelny. - I planted a tree in honor of my great-grandfather Chigin Mikhail Ivanovich. He was born in Betki village of Tukayevskiy district, and was called into the Red Army when he was 20 years old”.

The “Garden of Remembrance” International campaign started on March 18 and will last until June 22 of this year. Its organizers are the All-Russian Public Movement “Victory Volunteers” and the Victory Commemoration Fund with support of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation and the Federal Forestry Agency. The purpose of the campaign is to plant 27 million trees in memory of 27 million dead during the Great Patriotic War.
