The column “Veterans of the Forest Industry” continues as part of celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic foundation. Today, its hero is Shakirov Rafil Nuretdinovich, who has devoted 38 years to forestry.
Rafil Shakirov was born on July 2, 1944 in the Izh-Baiki village of Agryzskiy district. After graduating from the Lubyanskiy Forestry Technical College, he began his career in 1964 as a Forestry Technician at the Devyaterninskiy precinct forestry of the Agryzskiy timber industry enterprise. From 1966 to 1968 he served in the Soviet Army. After the end of his service, Rafil Shakirov worked as an Assistant to the Forester of the Agryzskiy precinct forestry; in April 1977 he was appointed to the position of the Chief Forester of the Agryzskiy forest industry enterprise.
In the period from February 1981 to May 1993, Rafil Shakirov worked as the Chief Forester of the Sarapulskiy forestry enterprise of the Ministry of Forestry of the Udmurt Republic. In June 1993 he returned to his small homeland and worked as the Chief Forester until 2004.
For high professionalism, loyalty to the chosen profession and long, dedicated work, Rafil Nuretdinovich was awarded with the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Forestry of the TASSR, the jubilee medal “For Valiant Labor. In commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the birth of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin”, with the signs “For Conservation and Multiplication of the Forest Wealth of the RSFSR” and “XX Years of Service in the State Forest Protection of the USSR”.
