Trees were planted in the framework of the “Garden of Remembrance” International campaign on the territory of Gymnasium No. 10 “Sozvezdiye” of the Zelenodolskiy municipal district. The event was attended by employees of the Federal Forestry Agency “Roslesozashchita” branch - “Forest Protection Center of the Republic of Tatarstan” and teachers of an educational institution. In total, 20 saplings of small-leaved linden were planted by their forces.
Given the current sanitary and epidemiological situation, all necessary measures were taken to prevent and counteract the spread of the coronavirus infection COVID-19 - the participants were in protective wearing, planted trees at a distance from each other and were in groups of no more than two or three people.
The international campaign “Garden of Remembrance” started on March 18 and will last until June 22 of this year. Its organizers are the All-Russian Public Movement “Victory Volunteers” and the Victory Commemoration Fund with support of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation and the Federal Forestry Agency. The purpose of the campaign is to plant 27 million trees in memory of 27 million dead during the Great Patriotic War.
