Forest industry veterans: Gilmanov Fidail Mansurovich

The column “Veterans of the forest industry” continues as part of celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic foundation. Today, its hero is Gilmanov Fidail Mansurovich, who worked for 24 years as Director of the Isleitarskiy forestry enterprise.

Fidail Gilmanov was born on March 25, 1954 in the Kemesh-Kul village of Mamadyshskiy district. After graduating from the Lubyanskiy Forestry Technical College, he began his career in 1973 as a Forestry Technician at the Kildyushevskiy forest district of the Tetyushskiy forestry farm. In the same year he was called up for service in the ranks of the Soviet army. After completing the service, Fidail Gilmanov worked as a Master of Construction and Installation Works, as a Forester in the Privolzhskiy forestry farm, an Assistant Forester, Forester in the Sviyazhskiy forest district of the Privolzhskiy forestry farm, as well as a Secretary of the party bureau of the state farm “Pamyat Timiryazeva” and as the Chief Forester in the Privolzhskiy forestry farm.

In 1991, he was appointed as a Director of the Isleitarskiy forestry enterprise. In this post, Fidail Mansurovich worked until 2014. Under his leadership, the forestry enterprise significantly increased the effectiveness of measures to protect, conserve and reproduce forests. In particular, he paid special attention to the work of the nursery and organization of a permanent forest seed base (formation of plus plantings and permanent forest seed plots).

For high professionalism, loyalty to the chosen profession and long, dedicated work, Fidail Gilmanov was awarded the badge “XX years of service in the state forest protection of the Russian Federation”, awarded the honorary title “Honored Forester of the Republic of Tatarstan”, etc.
