Final meeting of the Collegium of Ministry of Forestry RT.

In the enlarged meeting of the Collegium of Ministry of Forestry RT took part Prime Minister RT Mr. Ildar Khalikov and Deputy Director of federal agency of forestry Mr. Nikolay Krotov. Minister of Forestry Mr. Nail. Magdeev made a report “The Progress of the work of Ministry of Forestry RT in 2012 and tasks for 2013”. He made an evaluation of work in principal directions of forestry development: forest restoration and protection, forest regeneration and cultivation, conservation of biodiversity in Tatarstan, personnel policy. According to actions taken, consolidation of material and technical resources, fleet vehicles of subordinate authorities in 2012, and in 2011 there was not even one fire in forestry fund of Republic. In selected-seed center which started its work in January 2011 were grown 12 thousand of elite ball-rooted planting stock. 70 millions of planting stock and seedlings were grown in 55 forest tree nursery “Forest”

In 2012 were made forest restoration work on total area 2327 ha and also forest planting on area 1972 ha, assistance in natural regeneration – 334 ha, integrated forest restoration – 20 ha. All these facts compound 100% of annual plan. There was grounded protecting conservation afforestation on the area 1589 ha. For oak-wood restoration on the territory of Republic with the support or the President of RT Mr. R. Minnikhanov and Federal Agency of forestry in 2013 in Kaibizki region there will be started a construction of scientific and development center “Oak Wood of Russia”

In 2013 on the area of SEZ “Elabuga” will start its work first part of the wood materials recycling factory of Turkish company “Castamony Entegre”. Wood for this factory will be sent from forestry of Republic however it’s important first to make survey regulation of district which hasn’t done since 2005.

N.I. Magdeev told that in 2012, in the Year of historical and cultural heritage in RT, to all the foresters was given a task to restore wooden architecture in historical part of Kazan and they completed this task with honor.

In the questions of personnel policy Minister pointed out on improvement of school forestry which by his words are the best backup for future personnel of forestry of RT.
