The Ministry discussed the results of law enforcement practice in the field of federal state forest supervision for the first quarter of 2020
Today, the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan held a public discussion of the results of law enforcement practice in the field of federal state forest supervision (forest protection) for the first quarter of 2020. The event was held in a conference mode on the basis of the Zoom platform in order to clarify typical and massive violations of mandatory requirements of regulatory legal acts.
The meeting was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the RT Ilgizar Zaripov, heads of structural divisions of the Ministry, etc.
The main report was made by the Head of the State Control and Supervision Department Airat Akhmerov. He said that for 5 months of 2020, state forest inspectors conducted 6.9 thousand patrols of the lands of the forest fund of the Republic of Tatarstan and compiled 299 protocols on administrative offenses. The most frequent violations were violations of fire and sanitary safety rules in forests.
“In order to prevent illegal logging, transportation and processing of wood, duty is organized at stationary and mobile weight control posts with the traffic police, joint raids of state forest inspectors with internal affairs officers are carried out, said Airat Akhmerov. - In the period from June 15 to July 15 of this year, it is planned to carry out the “Lesovoz” operation with tightening control over the transportation of wood at the posts”.
Airat Akhmerov also dwelled on the work of the Interdepartmental Commission on prevention and suppression of illegal logging, transportation, processing, sale and export of wood in the Republic of Tatarstan, results of consideration of applications and appeals of citizens, etc.
In particular, he said that as of June 1 of this year the specialists of the State Control and Supervision Department of the Ministry examined 63 appeals of citizens and legal entities on the facts of violation of the requirements of forest legislation. The main topics of the appeals were violation of sanitary safety rules in forests (unauthorized landfills), felling of forest stands, etc.
At the end of the meeting, a discussion and exchange of views on results of law enforcement practice in the field of federal state forest supervision and possibilities of increasing its effectiveness took place.
