The Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan will strengthen control over ensuring fire safety in forests on holidays and weekends. “Despite the fact that fire hazard class III is now, the heads of subordinate institutions have been instructed to strengthen patrolling of the forest fund territory, pay special attention to popular outdoor recreation areas and organize outreach activities with the population”, said Airat Akhmerov, Head of the State Control and Supervision Department of the Ministry.
In order to detect and extinguish forest fires on the territory of the forest fund in Tatarstan, there are 18 type II fire stations at forestry enterprises and 5 type III forest fire stations at the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Forest Fire Center”. The number of forest fire formations is 675 people, equipment - 342 units of equipment. In case of emergency, an additional involvement of forces and means of fire departments and organizations with a total number of 2,822 people is provided, including 512 units of equipment.
