“Lesovoz” operation is carried out in Tatarstan
The operational and preventive event “Lesovoz” is being held in the Republic of Tatarstan. Its purpose is the prevention and suppression of illegal logging, transportation and processing of wood in the republic.
So, in the period from June 15 to June 21 of this year 26 forest raids were carried out by state forest inspectors together with employees of the Traffic Police Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Tatarstan, 35 vehicles loaded with timber were inspected, no violations were detected. “Lesovoz” operation will last until July 15.
We remind you that transporting wood without an accompanying document drawn up in the manner prescribed by forest legislation entails the imposition of an administrative fine on officials in the amount of 30 to 50 thousand rubles with confiscation of wood and (or) vehicles that are an instrument of an administrative offense, or without it; for legal entities - from 500 to 700 thousand rubles with or without confiscation of wood and (or) vehicles, which are an instrument of committing an administrative offense.
