Employees of the Federal Treasury Office for the Republic of Tatarstan joined the “Garden of Remembrance” International campaign
Today, the Republic of Tatarstan hosted the final event within the framework of the International Campaign “Garden of Remembrance”. Trees in memory of the heroes who fell during the Great Patriotic War were planted in Kazan in Vishnevskogo str., 31. The event was attended by the Head of the Federal Treasury Office for the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Nuriakhmetov, Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Rais Gumerov, representatives of the Tatarstan regional branch of All-Russian Public Movement “Victory Volunteers”.
The international campaign “Garden of Remembrance” was held from March 18 to June 22 of this year. It was organized by the All-Russian Public Movement “Victory Volunteers” and the Victory Commemoration Fund with support of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation and the Federal Forestry Agency. The purpose of the campaign was to plant 27 million trees in memory of 27 million who died during the Great Patriotic War.
In the Republic of Tatarstan508 thousand trees were planted in the framework of the International campaign “Garden of Remembrance”, including 398 thousand seedlings - on the territory of the forest fund and 110 thousand seedlings - on the territory of municipal districts.
