Veteran of the forest industry Abuzar Gayanovich Gayanov was awarded the memorial sign “100 years of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic formation”

Yesterday, on June 25, RT First Deputy Minister of Forestry Ilgizar Zaripov visited a veteran of the forest industry, former Minister of Forestry of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic Abuzar Gayanovich Gayanov. He thanked the veteran for his dedicated work and invaluable contribution to the development of the forest complex of the republic and handed him the commemorative badge “100 years of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic formation”, as well as the Gratitude Certificate of the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Saying goodbye, Ilgizar Zaripov wished Abuzar Gayanovich good health, prosperity and long life.

Gayanov Abuzar Gayanovich was born on August 6, 1936 in the Akhmanovo village of Mamadyshskiy district. Starting his career in 1956, he worked in such positions as the chief forester of the Menzelinskiy forestry enterprise, the head of the department of the Ministry of Forestry of the TASSR, the instructor, the deputy head of the forestry department of the Tatar Oblast Committee of the CPSU. In the period from 1984 to 2001, Abuzar Gayanov headed the Ministry of Forestry of the TASSR (from 1992 - the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan). Under his leadership, special attention was paid to development of the forest seed base, nursery, protective afforestation, wood processing and improvement of the species composition of forest stands. Also in those years, a large amount of work was carried out on laying roadside snow protection strips in the republic. For fruitful, creative work and devotion to his work, Abuzar Gayanovich was awarded the honorary titles of the Honored Forester of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic (1968) and the Honored Forester of the Russian Federation (1999).
