The Ministry considered the issues of creating a scientific and educational cluster on the basis of the Forest Selection and Seed Center of the Republic of Tatarstan

Today, the Ministry hosted a meeting on development of the concept of a scientific and educational cluster on the basis of the Forest Selection and Seed Center of the Republic of Tatarstan. The meeting was chaired by the First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilgizar Zaripov. The discussion was attended by Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the Sabinskiy municipal district Ilnur Kutdusov, Head of the Forest Reproduction and Afforestation Department of the Ministry Timur Galiyev, Deputy Director of the Laboratory of Microclonal Vegetative Reproduction of Plants of the State Budgetary Institution “Training and Experimental Sabinskiy Forestry Enterprise” Nail Khanov, Head of Gafel OOO Alim Galimullin, Chief Specialist of the Scientific and Innovative Department of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan Airat Baigildeyev and others.

Opening the meeting, First Deputy Minister Ilgizar Zaripov noted that one of the goals of creating a scientific and educational cluster is to increase the level of training in the field of forest bioengineering.

“Implementation of the project will allow attracting young people to participate in scientific, technical and innovation activities and identify talented young scientists. This cluster will become a scientific base for internships for students, undergraduates and postgraduates of Russian and foreign universities, and will also provide an opportunity for the implementation of projects on federal, regional and departmental targeted scientific and scientific and technical programs and projects with the involvement of employees of the Forest Selection and Seed Center of the Republic of Tatarstan”, he said.

During the meeting, the issues of financing the implementation of this project, cooperation of regional authorities and educational organizations, training of qualified specialists, the use of scientific discoveries, research and advanced technologies in the forestry industry, etc. were considered. The next discussion of the issue is scheduled for the second decade of August this year.
