Work to supplement forest cultures on the area of 2 thousand hectares will be carried out in the autumn period in Tatarstan

In early September, the autumn forestry season of 2020 will be opened in the Republic of Tatarstan. Within its framework, employees of the subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan - forestry enterprises - will have to carry out work to supplement forest cultures on the area of ​​2 thousand hectares. It is also planned to prepare soil plots for next year crops on the area of ​​1.4 thousand hectares and procure more than 11.4 tons of seeds of the main forest-forming species.

Currently, the republic continues to carry out work to promote natural reforestation, agrotechnical care of forest crops, clearing dead wood and selective felling in field-protective forest plantations.

For reference. In 2020, reforestation was carried out in the Republic of Tatarstan on the area of ​​2304.6 hectares. Including planting of forest cultures - on 2,193 hectares, afforestation - on 102.6 hectares, combined reforestation - on 9 hectares. Protective forest plantations were also established on the area of ​​1934 hectares (ravine gully – 1,895 hectares, field protection - 39 hectares).
