Specialists of the branch of Federal Budgetary Institution "Roslesozashchita" - "Forest Protection Center of the Republic of Tatarstan", together with employees of subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, determined the economically possible collection of seeds of small coniferous species at forest seed production facilities located on the territory of Prigorodnoye, Zelenodolsky, Arsky and Isleitarsky forestries. The work was carried out within the framework of the state task for state monitoring of forest reproduction for 2020.
According to the results of the survey, it was found that the economically possible collection of seeds on forest seed plantations of Scots pine with a total area of 21.4 hectares is 4 kg, permanent forest seed plots of Scots pine with a total area of 47.8 hectares - 11 kg, spruce with a total area of 24.9 ha - 5 Kg.
Let us recall that in the Republic of Tatarstan, in order to provide reforestation with seeds with improved hereditary properties, there are forest seed plantations, which are located on an area of 86 hectares and permanent forest seed plots - 1250 hectares. The main share of these areas is occupied by English oak - 89%, Scots pine - 7%, European spruce - 3% and Siberian larch - 1%.
