Seed harvesting continues in the forestry enterprises of Tatarstan
The forestry enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan continue harvesting seeds of the main forest-forming species. According to specialists from the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, as of August 21, 2020, 546 kg of seeds were harvested, of which pine - 404 kg, spruce - 103 kg, larch - 16 kg, other species - 23 kg. A significant part of the seeds will be collected in September this year.
It should be reminded that the harvesting of seeds of forest plants is an additional indicator of the regional project “Preservation of Forests in the Republic of Tatarstan” within the framework of the federal project "Preservation of Forests" of the national project “Ecology”. According to the project, this year it is planned to procure more than 11.4 thousand kg of seeds.
