Today in the Department of Forestry in the Volga Federal District, a meeting of the headquarters was held in the mode of videoconference to coordinate activities to extinguish forest fires in the Volga Federal District. The meeting was chaired by the head of the department, Alexander Ornatsky.
The event was attended by representatives of the forest management bodies of the district, incl. from the Republic of Tatarstan - head of the department of forest reproduction and afforestation of the Ministry Timur Galiev, acting head of the department of the state forest register, forest use and forest management Ramil Gilmanshin; and head of the sector for the protection and protection of the forest fund Alexey Mosunov.
During the meeting, Alexander Ornatsky dwelled on the course of the fire hazardous season in forests in the constituent entities of the Volga District, the purchase of forest fire equipment within the framework of the federal project “Preservation of Forests”, etc. He urged the participants not to reduce control over ensuring fire safety in forests in September of this year.
Also, within the framework of the meeting, issues of digitalization of forestry, the creation of the Digital Forest platform and the conduct of the All-Russian campaign “Save the Forest” were discussed.
