Autumn forestry season is open in Tatarstan
The autumn forestry season is open in the Republic of Tatarstan. Within its framework, employees of the subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan ‒ forestry enterprises will have to carry out work to supplement forest crops on an area of 2.1 thousand hectares, prepare soil plots for crops of the next year on an area of 1.4 thousand hectares, harvest more than 10 thousand kg seeds of the main forest-forming species and carry out an inventory of planting material in basic forest nurseries.
According to the Ministry's specialists, as of September 4 of this year 546 kg of seeds were harvested, of which pine ‒ 404 kg, spruce ‒ 103 kg, larch ‒ 16 kg, other species ‒ 23 kg. It should be reminded that the harvesting of seeds of forest plants is an additional indicator of the regional project “Preservation of forests in the Republic of Tatarstan” of the federal project “Preservation of forests” of the national project “Ecology”.
