In the branch of FBU “Roslesozashchita” ‒ “Center for Forest Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan”, the work on state forest pathological monitoring continues. So, in August of this year, the staff of the institution carried out regular ground observations of the sanitary and forest pathological state of forests with visits to 50 points of constant observation, selective ground observations of the sanitary and forest pathological state on an area of 2103.8 hectares and for populations of pests on two route passages. The surveys were carried out on the territory of the forest fund of the Nizhnekamsky, Kaleykinsky and Kaibitsky forestries.
As a result of the work, forest stands were identified that were affected by unfavorable weather conditions and soil and climatic factors on a total area of 157 hectares. In 2020 and 2021, sanitary and recreational activities will be carried out at these sites.
