In the Sabinsky municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan, festive events dedicated to the Day of Forest Workers were held. Within their framework, distinguished employees of the State Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Sabinsky forestry” and the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Educational and experimental Sabinsky forestry” were awarded.
“The coronavirus pandemic has made adjustments in all areas of our lives, including forestry. To avoid large crowds of people, this year we held separate events for the Day of Forest Workers in all divisions of the forestry and forestry enterprise. The distinguished specialists were awarded letters of thanks and certificates of honor. Artists of the district's creative teams also performed at the events,” said Elmira Gazizova, deputy head-forester of the State Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Sabinsky forestry”.
Day of Forest Workers is celebrated in Russia traditionally on the third Sunday of September. This year it falls on September 20. The holiday was established by the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated October 1, 1980.
