Representatives of the Ministry congratulated the veterans of the forestry industry on the upcoming professional holiday
From year to year, on the eve of the Day of Forest Workers, employees of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan congratulate veterans of the forest industry on the upcoming professional holiday. This year was no exception ‒ today specialists visited the veterans and presented them with gifts.
In turn, the veterans thanked the leadership of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan for their constant attention and support.
Day of forest workers is celebrated in Russia traditionally on the third Sunday of September. This year it falls on September 20. The holiday was established by the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated October 1, 1980.
Currently, over 2.6 thousand people work in the forest industry of the Republic of Tatarstan. Thanks to their professionalism and persistent, selfless work in the republic, more than 10 tons of seeds of the main forest-forming species are harvested annually, more than 30 million pieces of standard planting material are grown, thousands of hectares of forest plantations are created, forests are protected from fires and illegal logging, as well as their protection from pests and diseases.
