Harvesting of illiquid timber continues on the territory of Tukaysky district forestry of Arsky forestry

On the territory of the forest fund of the Arsky forestry, work continues to harvest illiquid wood. “At present, work is underway in the 23rd quarter of the 6th Tukaysky district forestry, 8 people are involved,” said Ilyar Vasilyev, deputy director of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Arsky district forestry”.

According to him, in total this year the harvesting of illiquid timber in the Arsky forestry will be carried out on an area of ​​71 hectares.

Harvesting of illiquid wood is carried out in places of formation of a windblow, windbreak, snow break, crown fires and other damages in the presence of illiquid wood in more than 90% of the total stock of dead trees. First of all, work is carried out in specially protected areas, recreational zones, forest parks, forests that perform sanitary and hygienic and recreational functions, protective zones along roads, in memorial plantations and other especially valuable forest areas. On lands of other designated purpose and other categories of protective forests, the harvesting of illiquid wood is carried out if there is a threat of the emergence of foci of harmful organisms or fire safety.
