Today the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation ‒ Head of the Federal Forestry Agency Sergey Anoprienko got acquainted with the activities of ANO VO “University Innopolis”. During the examination, he was accompanied by the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov, the director of the Innopolis University Kirill Semenikhin and others.
At the Innopolis University, Sergei Anoprienko visited the Technopark named after A.S. Popova, the center for the selection of IT specialists, the laboratory of robotics and took part in a meeting on digitalization of the forest industry.
During the meeting, the head of Roslekhoz was introduced to the Service for monitoring and assessing the state of the forest fund. This service was developed within the framework of the Aeronet roadmap projects by the Innogeotech company, created by the Innopolis University together with the Russian venture capital company. Now the university under the state contract provides monitoring of forest changes for all forest districts of Tatarstan. The Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan has access to operational and up-to-date information on changes in forests based on the processing of Earth remote sensing data. On the territory of the republic, 3,094 forest management plates were also scanned, 18,834 objects with the boundaries of the plots were digitized, and with the help of the service, an analysis of the forest fund was carried out on the territory of 31 forestry with a total area of 1,235,993 hectares with forest pathology.
