The Ministry discussed issues of prevention and suppression of illegal logging, transportation, processing, sale and export of timber
Today, the Ministry hosted a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on the prevention and suppression of illegal harvesting, transportation, processing, sale and export of timber in the Republic of Tatarstan. The meeting was chaired by the First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilgizar Zaripov. The event was attended by the prosecutor of the Tatar environmental interdistrict prosecutor's office Ilsur Gilmutdinov, representatives of the Department of Economic Security and Anti-Corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Tatarstan, the Volga-Kama Interregional Department of Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage, the Department of the Federal Tax Service for the Republic of Tatarstan, the Department of Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance in the Republic of Tatarstan, the Interregional Department The Republic of Tatarstan and the Ulyanovsk region, etc.
Head of the Department of State Control and Supervision of the Ministry Airat Akhmerov, Head of the Sector for Protection and Protection of the Forest Fund Alexei Mosunov and Leading Advisor of the Department of State Forest Register, Forest Use and Forest Inventory Vasily Chernov made reports at the meeting.
During the meeting, the issues of work in the Unified State Automated Information System of Timber Accounting and Transactions with it, suppression of violations of forest legislation by representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, individuals, etc. were considered.
A separate topic of discussion was the interdepartmental operational and preventive measures “Lesovoz”. The operation will take place from October 5 to November 5, 2020.
As part of the operation “Timber” will be organized raids of mobile patrol groups, consisting of state forest inspectors and employees of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, who will check the legality of timber transportation, as well as joint duty at stationary traffic police posts of the traffic police.
