First Deputy Minister Ilgizar Zaripov took part in the scientific debate “Personnel and scientific support of forestry in Russia”
Today at the Volga State Technological University (Yoshkar-Ola, Republic of Mari El), a scientific debate “Personnel and scientific support of forestry in Russia” was held. The event was organized by the Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Forest Sciences, the Russian Society of Foresters and the company “Volgatekh”.
During the meeting, the issues of personnel and scientific support of the forestry of the Russian Federation, the role of educational and experimental forestry enterprises in the training of qualified personnel for the industry, the possibility of improving the efficiency of forestry management, etc. were discussed.
The experience of staffing the forestry industry of the Republic of Tatarstan was presented by the First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilgizar Zaripov. During his speech, he said that at present, the total number of workers in the industry is 2648 people, of which 829 people work in forestries, 1758 people work in forestry enterprises.
“We are preparing future foresters from school, we still have an excellent model of vocational guidance work ‒ school forestry, ‒ said Ilgizar Zaripov. ‒ Today in the republic there are 110 school forestries, which have more than 1500 people. Each association has a teacher-leader and a curator from a subordinate institution of the Ministry, who conduct theoretical and practical classes for schoolchildren.”
For example, in 2020, students took part in the actions “Garden of Remembrance”, “Day of Birds”, “Protect the Forest from Fire”, “Save the Forest”, held events for the Day of Nature Reserves and National Parks, International Day of Forests, Victory Day, Day forest workers, etc.
“Training of personnel for the industry is carried out at the Lubyanka Forestry College and at the Faculty of Forestry and Ecology of the Kazan State Agrarian University, ‒ said the First Deputy Minister. ‒ Provides targeted training with subsequent employment in our subordinate institutions.”
Ilgizar Zaripov also spoke about the measures to support young industry professionals that entered in 2020, plans to create a scientific and educational cluster on the basis of the Forestry Seed Breeding Center of the Republic of Tatarstan, etc.
