As of October 2, 2020, compensatory reforestation was carried out in the Republic of Tatarstan on an area of ​​9 hectares. The works were carried out by persons using forests in accordance with Articles 43-46 of the Forest Code of the Russian Federation and were accepted by employees of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tajikistan in the autumn.

Recall that in accordance with Federal Law No. 212-FZ of 19.07.2018, tenants using forests for the purpose of carrying out geological study of subsoil, exploration and production of minerals, for the construction and operation of reservoirs, hydraulic structures, construction, reconstruction, operation of linear facilities, as well as processing wood and other forest resources are obliged to carry out work on reforestation or afforestation within the boundaries of the territory of the corresponding constituent entity of the Russian Federation on an area equal to the area of ​​cut forest plantations. This also applies to persons who applied with a petition or application to change the designated purpose of a forest plot (on an area equal to the area of ​​such a plot), including in connection with the transfer of forest lands to lands of other categories, except for cases of transferring forest lands to lands specially protected areas and objects.

Today in the Republic of Tatarstan there are plots for compensatory reforestation on an area of ​​302 hectares.
