The GBU RT “Kamsky forestry” plans to overfulfill the plan for harvesting seeds of forest plants
In the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Kamsky forestry”, the harvesting of seeds of the main forest-forming species continues. “Since the beginning of the year, 30 kg of coniferous seeds have been collected. Currently, our specialists are busy collecting acorns in the Usalinsky and Shemorbashsky district forestries of the Kamsky forestry. In total, 6 people are involved, ‒ said the director of the forestry farm Farit Mugminov. ‒ In the Usalinsky district forestry, we have a permanent forest seed plot where there are seeds with improved hereditary properties”.
“The harvested seeds are sent to the branch of FBU Roslesozashchita “Forest Protection Center of the Republic of Tatarstan” to check their sowing qualities. In total, this year we have to collect 190 kg of seeds, but we plan to harvest much more,” added Farit Mugminov.
