Today, a videoconference meeting was held at the Ministry, where the results of the work were summed up and the tasks for the 4th quarter of 2020 were discussed. The event was attended by the heads of forestry and forestry directors of the republic.
The meeting was opened by the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov. “This year was a warm and dry autumn, the absence of atmospheric precipitation led to drying out of the soil and a high risk of forest fires, ‒ said Ravil Kuzyurov. ‒ Therefore, one of our main tasks is to ensure fire safety in forests. I ask you to significantly strengthen control in this direction”.
The minister also recalled the need to strictly adhere to preventive measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19.
First Deputy Minister Ilgizar Zaripov delivered a keynote speech. He said that according to the information system of remote monitoring of the Federal Forestry Agency, this year, as of October 9, 960 thermal points were registered on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan. Of these, 337 cases of fires were confirmed in areas bordering the forest fund on a total area of 74.28 hectares.
“In connection with the onset of a high degree of fire danger in the forests, yesterday the minister signed an order “On priority measures for organizing forest protection from fires in the Republic of Tatarstan in the autumn of 2020”, ‒ Ilgizar Zaripov said. ‒ Heads of forestry forestries need to organize enhanced ground patrolling of the forest fund, ensure timely response to incoming fire signals and implementation of a set of measures to prevent forest fires.”
At the end of the meeting, the First Deputy Minister gave a number of instructions related to the execution of the state assignment for the implementation of a set of works for the protection, protection and reproduction of forests on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan.
