Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan and Rosleskhoz held an online seminar on working in LesEGAIS

The Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Federal Forestry Agency held an online seminar on the topic “Requirements of legislation on timber accounting and transactions with it. New in working with Lesegais. Prospects for the development of the state system of control over the origin of wood in the Russian Federation” for the heads of the subordinate institutions of the Ministry, tenants of forest plots, forest users and entrepreneurs of the republic. The event was organized in accordance with the work plan of the Interdepartmental Commission on the prevention and suppression of illegal harvesting, transportation, processing, sale and export of timber in the Republic of Tatarstan.

First Deputy Minister Ilgizar Zaripov opened the online seminar. In his welcoming speech, he outlined the importance of clarifying certain issues arising in connection with the adoption of Federal Law No. 415-FZ of December 28, 2013. “Our common task is to strengthen control and increase transparency in the sphere of timber turnover, to prevent illegal felling of forest plantations. LesEGAIS is constantly developing and improving. Therefore, we decided to hold this event to tell about the innovations in the system,” said Ilgizar Zaripov, addressing the participants.

The main report was made by the head of the Rosleskhoz project group for the implementation of the provisions of Federal Law No. 415-FZ dated 28.12.2013, Alexander Mariev. He dwelled in detail on the specifics of work in LeEGAIS, the rules for drawing up declarations on timber transactions and accompanying documents for timber. The speaker also recalled the measures of responsibility for violation of the requirements of forestry legislation in the field of harvesting, circulation and accounting of timber and reported on the planned changes in forestry legislation.

In conclusion, Alexander Mariev answered numerous questions from the participants of the online seminar.
