The Ministry discussed the results of law enforcement practice in the field of federal state forest supervision for the 3rd quarter of 2020
Today, the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a public discussion of the results of law enforcement practice in the field of federal state forest supervision (forest protection) for the 3rd quarter of 2020. The event was held in conference mode based on the Zoom platform.
The meeting was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilgizar Zaripov, heads of forestry forestries, directors of forestry enterprises, etc.
Airat Akhmerov, head of the department of state control and supervision of the Ministry, made a keynote speech at the event. He said that as of October 16 of this year, state forest inspectors of the republic carried out 16.7 thousand control and supervisory measures and revealed 272 violations of forest legislation. Violations of fire and sanitary safety rules in forests remain the most common offenses.
“Currently in Tatarstan there is an interdepartmental operational and preventive measure “Lesovoz”, ‒ noted Ayrat Akhmerov. ‒ As part of the operation, during the period from 5 to 16 October, 54 raids were carried out, 91 vehicles loaded with timber were stopped and inspected. As a result of the raids, no facts of violation of forestry legislation were revealed”.
In addition, the speaker dwelled on the work of the Interdepartmental Commission on the prevention and suppression of illegal harvesting, transportation, processing, sale and export of timber in the Republic of Tatarstan, the preparation of a plan for inspections of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs for 2021 and the results of the review by specialists of the department of state control and supervision Ministry of applications and appeals of citizens.
“State forest inspectors of forestry areas need to strengthen control over the detection and prevention of violations of forest legislation, as well as work in terms of entering data into the information system for accounting of the forest complex “Obverse: Management of the forest fund”, ‒ said Airat Akhmerov.
Further, during the meeting, typical violations of mandatory requirements established by the legislation in the field of forestry relations, by representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, citizens at logging sites, provided on the basis of contracts for the sale and purchase of forest stands, were considered.
At the end of the meeting, a discussion and exchange of views took place on the results of law enforcement practice in the field of federal state forest supervision and the possibilities of increasing its effectiveness.
