Employees of the Center for Forest Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan completed work on state forest pathological monitoring

In the branch of FBU “Roslesozashchita” “Center for Forest Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan” work on state forest pathological monitoring has been completed. So, in the current year, the staff of the institution carried out regular ground observations of the sanitary and forest pathological state of forests on an area of ​​971.7 thousand hectares and selective ground observations on an area of ​​13.3 thousand hectares.

Selective ground-based observations of the sanitary and forest pathological state of forests covered areas listed in the register of areas with disturbed and lost stability, as well as those affected by the impact of hurricane winds this year. The census of such forest pests as red pine sawfly, oak green and hawthorn leafworm showed that there is no threat of weakening of forest plantations from these pests in 2021.

After processing all the data, the branch specialists will draw up reports and reviews on the sanitary and forest pathological state of the forests of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2020 and the forecast for 2021.
