Cooperation between the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Technical University of Dresden continues
Cooperation between the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Technical University of Dresden (Federal Republic of Germany) continues on the implementation of a joint research project “Development of the concept of sustainable forestry in aspen plantations and their use in the Republic of Tatarstan “ASTAT”.
As part of the project, in August and October this year, a doctoral student at the Department of Forestry of the Institute of Forestry and Forest Protection of the Technical University of Dresden, Alina Nasibullina, conducted a detailed survey of the state of aspen stands in the Nurlatsky forestry. It is expected that, based on the results of the survey, a set of forestry measures will be developed for the cultivation of aspen plantations and their care, as well as proposals for organizing the processing of wood of this species.
