Autumn forestry season is over in Tatarstan
The autumn forestry season is over in the Republic of Tatarstan. Within its framework, specialists from subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan ‒ forestry enterprises carried out work to supplement forest crops on an area of 2.1 thousand hectares and prepare soil plots for crops of the next year on an area of 1.4 thousand hectares.
Along with this, an inventory of forest crops and standard planting material in basic forest nurseries was carried out.
At present, the harvesting of seeds of the main forest-forming species continues. According to the Ministry, as of November 3 of this year, a total of 5.1 thousand kg of seeds were harvested, of which pine ‒ 479 kg, spruce ‒ 113 kg, larch ‒ 47 kg, oak ‒ 4.4 thousand kg, other species ‒ 71 kg.
