The Ministry summed up the work on the fire-fighting arrangement of forests
The Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan summed up the results of the work performed on the fire-prevention arrangement of forests in 2020. The events started in forest districts with a melting of snow cover in the first ten days of April and ended in October this year.
So, this year in the republic 2670.2 km of new fire-prevention mineralized belts were created and the existing barriers with a total length of 5448.9 km were maintained. Also, work was carried out on the construction of fire-fighting roads with a total length of 113.3 km and their reconstruction ‒ 426.5 km. In addition, more than 790 pieces were installed. stands, signs and indexes containing information on fire safety measures in forests, and 225 recreation places for citizens staying in forests were improved.
