The Forestry Department for the Volga Federal District considered the issues of using digital forest inventory materials in organizing the use, protection, protection and reproduction of forests
A meeting chaired by the head of the department Alexander Ornatsky was held today at the Forestry Department of the Volga Federal District. The event was attended by representatives of forestry management bodies of the Volga Federal District, including from the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan ‒ First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilgizar Zaripov, heads and specialists of structural units.
During the meeting, the issues of using digital forest inventory materials in organizing the use, protection, protection and reproduction of forests were discussed.
The meeting also reviewed the experience of the Perm Territory in the digitalization of the forestry complex. Since 2019, the state information system “Smart Forest” has been developed in this region. It is expected that the system will make it possible to automate forest resources accounting and timely detect changes in the forest fund territory.
