The Ministry discussed issues of digitalization of the forestry complex of the republic
Today the Ministry hosted a meeting on digitalization of the forestry complex of the Republic of Tatarstan. The event was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilgizar Zaripov, specialists from the structural divisions of the Ministry, ANO VO “University Innopolis”.
During the meeting, the experience of the Perm Territory was discussed, where the state information system “Smart Forest” is being developed since 2019. Innopolis University is one of the developers of this system. It is expected that GIS will allow automating forest resources accounting, monitoring timber transportation, controlling the processes of reforestation, deforestation and, in general, ensuring effective interaction of all industry participants, including forest users and government authorities.
The issues of the implementation of the Geographic Information System of the Forest Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan and the development of a mechanism for the provision of state services by the Ministry in electronic form were also considered.
As a result of the meeting, a decision was made on the need to prepare a proposal for approbation of the Smart Forest GIS in the Republic of Tatarstan.
