The Rosleskhoz summed up the results of the All-Russian campaign “Save the Forest”: a total of 40 million trees were planted

The Federal Forestry Agency has summed up the results of the All-Russian campaign “Save the Forest”, which was held this year. A total of 40 million trees were planted by the participants.

“We have held the action for the second time. Last year, 37 million trees were planted, this year we have reached 40 million. The restrictions associated with the spread of coronavirus infection have made their own adjustments, but despite the pandemic and thanks to the contribution of each of the regions and all 85 constituent entities of the country joined the landings the action was carried out,” said the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation Head of the Federal Agency forestry Sergey Anoprienko.

In the Republic of Tatarstan, as part of the campaign, more than 1.2 million pieces of planting material were planted on an area of ​​over 300 hectares. Large-scale events were held in Buinsky, Zainsky and Nizhnekamsky municipal districts.

Let us remind you that this year the All-Russian campaign “Save the Forest” started on August 26 in Kamchatka. The action was carried out with the support of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, Rosleskhoz, the All-Russian Society for the Conservation of Nature and the All-Russian Popular Front (“Youth of the ONF”).
