Greeting the guests on behalf of the republic's leadership, Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin noted that serious attention is paid to the fight against corruption in Tatarstan. A whole range of measures has been developed at the federal and regional levels: a reliable legislative and regulatory framework has been created, organizational decisions have been taken to prevent and minimize corruption, and the activities of law enforcement and supervisory bodies have been stepped up.
Tatarstan is implementing an anti-corruption policy program for 2015-2023, as well as departmental and municipal programs. In them, the main emphasis is on strengthening the transparency of the work of the authorities and the wide involvement of residents in these processes.
Farid Mukhametshin expressed gratitude to the organizers of the forum for their active anti-corruption work among the youth. This is yielding positive results, he stressed.
During the discussion, leaders and representatives of youth organizations identified areas in which corruption is most often manifested. The youth asked to establish a clear and transparent mechanism for the allocation of target places in universities, the allocation of places in dormitories, the enrollment of children in grades 1 and 10, the use of grant funds, etc.
The proposals voiced at the forum will be studied by the authorities and accepted into work.
