The Ministry considered the first results of the implementation of the project “Development of the concept of sustainable forestry in aspen plantations”
Today the Ministry hosted a videoconference meeting on the implementation of the research project "Development of the concept of sustainable forestry in aspen plantations and their use in the Republic of Tatarstan “ASTAT”. The event was attended by First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilgizar Zaripov, heads of structural divisions of the Ministry, director of the branch of FBU “VNIILM” “East European LOS” Fedor Ilyin, from the Technical University of Dresden (Federal Republic of Germany): Professors Jurgen Pretsch, Sven Wagner, Albrecht Bemmann, Stephen Fischer, Dr. Wolfram Scheiding, Eckhard Auch, Anna Moosmann, etc.
During the meeting, the results of the implementation of the research project in 2020, the first results of field studies of aspen plantations in the Nurlatsky forestry, issues of developing a complex of forestry activities for growing aspen plantations and caring for them were considered.
A separate topic of the meeting was the discussion of the possibility of using aspen wood. Professors Albrecht Bemmann and Stephen Fischer made presentations on this topic. So, the university proposes the use of wood in the pulp and paper industry, the production of fuel pellets, etc.
It is expected that the targets for 2021 within the framework of the project will be outlined at the next video conference, which will be held on Friday, December 11.
