The results of the All-Russian campaign for the collection of waste paper #BumBattle, held in all schools of the country from November 25 to December 10 of this year, have been summed up. As a result, 604 tons of waste paper were collected, 98% of paper raw materials have already been sent for processing.
More than 385 thousand schoolchildren from 67 constituent entities of the Russian Federation took part in the action.
The three leading regions in terms of the amount of collected raw materials were headed by the Kursk region, whose schools in total handed over 61.2 tons of waste paper. The second line of the rating was taken by the Orenburg region ‒ 59.6 tons, the Tambov region closes the top three with 42.5 tons of raw materials.
The list of top-10 institutions of the country in terms of the amount of collected raw materials was headed by Lyceum No. 66 in Lipetsk, whose students handed over more than 11 tons of waste paper. Gymnasium No. 3 in Belgorod (10 tons) took the second place in the ranking by a small margin. The third place - at the secondary educational school No. 2 of Agryz, Republic of Tatarstan (7.6 tons).
Particular attention was paid to the volunteer initiatives of the #BumBattle partners within the framework of the action. In particular, conducting eco-lessons on the topic of separate waste collection and the importance of conscious consumption.
Recall that the action was organized on the initiative of ANO “National Priorities” with the support of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia, the Ministry of Education of Russia and project partners: the Russian movement of schoolchildren, the ONF Youth, the All-Russian Society for the Conservation of Nature, the movement of volunteer environmentalists “Do!”, The Association “Clean Country”, the Ecoline group of companies and the Ubirator service.
