A meeting of the headquarters for the coordination of activities to extinguish forest fires was held at the Department of Forestry in the Volga Federal District
Today in the Department of Forestry in the Volga Federal District, a meeting of the headquarters was held in the mode of videoconference to coordinate activities to extinguish forest fires in the Volga Federal District. The meeting was chaired by the head of the department, Alexander Ornatsky.
The event was attended by representatives of forestry management bodies of the Volga Federal District, including from the Republic of Tatarstan ‒ First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilgizar Zaripov, employees of structural units of the Ministry.
During the meeting, the issues of developing and approving consolidated plans for extinguishing forest fires and preparing for the fire hazardous season in the forests of 2021 were discussed. Alexander Ornatsky drew the participants' attention to the need for timely implementation of a set of measures for fire-prevention arrangement of forests and the organization of large-scale forest fire propaganda.
At the end of the meeting, the course of preparations for the spring forestry season in the constituent entities of the district was considered. Recall that in the Republic of Tatarstan this year it is planned to carry out work on reforestation on an area of 3.8 thousand hectares, agrotechnical care of forest crops ‒ on 14.3 thousand hectares, and supplementing forest crops ‒ on 4.2 thousand hectares. Also, more than 11.4 tons of seeds of the main forest-forming species will be harvested and more than 30.9 million pieces of standard planting material will be grown.
