Events dedicated to the International Day of Forests have started in the Republic of Tatarstan
Events dedicated to the International Day of Forests have started in the Republic of Tatarstan. Thus, the employees of the State Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Yelabuzhsky forestry” conducted a lesson on the theme “Forest is our wealth” for the pupils of the school forestry “Young friends of the forest” MBOU “Bolsheshurnyaksky secondary school”. During the lesson, Forester Vladimir Pashayev told the students about forests, their most important ecological, economic and social functions, the activities of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan and its subordinate institutions.
International Day of Forests or World Day for the Protection of Forests is celebrated on March 21st. The purpose of the holiday is to draw public attention to the problems of preserving and increasing forest resources, spreading knowledge about the significance of forest ecosystems, their true state, the main measures of their protection and restoration. In 2021, the International Day of Forests is dedicated to the theme “Reforestation: a way out of crisis and prosperity”.
Within the framework of the holiday, the employees of the subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan will conduct lessons, lectures, presentations, exhibitions, round tables, conferences, master classes and other events in preschool and educational institutions of the republic.
